We believe when children are engaged and having fun with one another, they build an intrinsic desire to connect with others. We focus on pragmatic language, flexible thinking, compromising, negotiating, problem solving, understanding hidden social rules, perspective taking, and non-verbal communication. We believe it is important for children to learn how to self-advocate and self-regulate in various social environments. We want children to feel socially competent in who they are as individuals. We incorporate these developmental skills by engaging the children in high interest activities that encourage team building, collaborative play, and reciprocal conversations.
