Nili Geldwert, M.A., CCC-SLP Co-Founder
Nili graduated from New York University with a master’s in Speech-Language Pathology in 2008. She is a specialist in supporting autism spectrum disorder (ASD) children and has worked with this population for over 10 years. She has practiced in a variety of autism programs in different school settings, including NYC special education D75, the ASD Nest inclusion program, and private schools. She is trained in RDI (Relationship Development Intervention), Natural Language Acquisition (NLA), Social Thinking, Social Stories, PECS, and PROMPT Although Nili has extensive training in a variety of programs, at the forefront of her practice is a child led, strength based approach. Nili has continued to advance her education by taking additional coursework in autism. She currently works in the ASD Nest program. She is also teaching the Intro. to Autism as an adjunct lecturer at Hunter College. Nili is passionate about her work with children with social pragmatic communication challenges and supporting all her students to help them communicate their wants, needs and interests more effectively and freely. Nili is also a mother of three children and currently resides in Westchester. |
Julie Pike, M.A., CCC-SLP Co-Founder
Julie has been a speech-language pathologist since 2005. She received her master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology at New York University and went on to work in the New York City schools and at several early intervention agencies. Julie has experience treating children ages 2 through 14 with speech and language deficits (e.g. articulation, phonology, fluency/stuttering, comprehension, expressive language, and pragmatics). Julie is a specialist in supporting Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) children and has worked with this population for over 8 years. Julie is trained in RDI (Relationship Development Intervention)(TM), Social Thinking(TM), Social Stories (TM), and PECS. Although Julie has extensive training in a variety of programs, at the forefront of her therapy is a child-centered, strength based approach. She is currently working in the NYC ASD Nest Program with middle school children. She continues to broaden her expertise of supporting children with autism through professional coursework. Julie is passionate about working with children who have pragmatic needs - she wants children who have difficulties in this area to experience social success with their peers and family members in and out of school. Julie is also a mother of two children and currently resides in NYC. |
